Demonstration of cell-cell adhesion assays using the ExiGo pump. Learn how to do experiments such as THP-1 cell adhesion vo HUVEC monolayer in Cellix's biochips at a shear stress of 0.5dyne/cm 2 . Brightfield and phase contrast imaging shown. ExiGo is a microfluidic syringe pump controlled by an iPad mini. 4-channels or pumps may be controlled independently by one iPad mini. LabView and API options for PC control are also available. Key features of this pump include volumetric flow rates of 0.0725pL/min - 20mL/min. Continuous pulse-free flow rates with sensor are 10nL/min - 1mL/min with 250uL glass syringe and 100nL/min - 20mL/min with 5mL plastic syringe. Compatible with standard syringes. Demonstration of cell rolling and adhesion assays using the ExiGo pump. Learn how to do experiments such as THP-1 cell rolling on E-selectin; THP-1 cell adhesion on VCAM coated microchannels. We also demonstrate leukocyte adhesion from whole blood on VCAM-coated microchannels of our biochips at 0.5dyne/cm 2 . Finally, we show high shear flow blood perfusion assay illustrating platelet adhesion from whole blood on collagen-coated microchannel 67.5dyne/cm 2 . Demonstration of multilaminar flow experiments using the ExiGo pump. Learn how to easily control the boundary between two liquid samples injected simultaneously in a Y-junction biochip (VenaDeltaY1 biochip from Cellix). Liquid samples included in this demonstration are a buffer solution (deionized water) and a solution containing microparticles. ExiGo is a microfluidic syringe pump controlled by an iPad mini. 4-channels or pumps may be controlled independently by one iPad mini. LabView and API options for PC control are also available. In this demonstration, 2 ExiGo pumps are used with flow sensors to control multilaminar flow of liquids in a biochip.
